Sad Cats, Happy Demons
Sad Cats and Happy Demons is a collection of paintings created from 2023-2025. Working outdoors, on large scale canvas, with gritty - finger paintings techniques, the duo uses twisted fairytale landscapes and characters that explore mental illness, family and domestic violence, child abuse, addiction and queerness. The artworks uncover a complex lived experience of two autistic friends, their neurodivergence and extreme mental states through textural, energetic imagery.
Funded by Propel Youth Arts in 2025, the project encompasses both the exhibition and an accompanying poetry book scheduled for publication in 2027.

All Angels Need Friends
All Angels Need Friends is the debut collection by Neisha and Possum. Curated by Piper Peggy, and exhibited at Pig Melon in 2022, the works exhibit an imaginative array of bright colours, sad creatures, childlike drawings and finger paintings. The works visit curiosities of the inner child, exploring memory, trauma and extreme mental states. These works represent the beginning of Possum and Neisha’s ongoing collaboration that honours a safe, non judgemental creative space.
